Registered organisations must comply with their own rules, as well as with the requirements of relevant legislation and regulations.
The Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 outlines the standards federally registered organisations must meet in relation to their finances, financial affairs, rules, elections and the conduct of officers.
Some functions that were previously dealt with by the Fair Work Commission are now the responsibility of the Registered Organisations Commission (ROC). The functions are split between the Fair Work Commission and the ROC as follows:

A free email subscription service is available. Subscribers are notified by email of information relevant to federally registered organisations, such as changes to obligations and upcoming webinars.
You can also subscribe to receive notification when applications by registered organisations are published in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette. This includes applications for registration, deregistration and changes to eligibility rules. Each email contains the name of the organisation lodging the application, the type of application lodged, and a link to the Gazette notice.
