The Fair Work Commission undertakes and supports a range of research activities. Details of most of these activities appear below.
Other sections of the Commission’s website contain details of research undertaken, or contributed to, by the Commission. In particular:
- Annual wage review research – research undertaken by Fair Work Commission staff in the Modern Awards, Economics and Research Section of the Tribunal Services Branch as part of the annual wage review.
- Workplace Relations Education Study – invited papers authored by external workplace relations academics, researchers and practitioners as part of the Commission’s Workplace Relations Education Study.
- Research community – research being undertaken by various external workplace relations academics with support from the Commission.
- General Manager's reports – research published as part of the General Manager’s three year reports required by the Fair Work Act 2009.
