Researchers can apply to access the confidentialised unit record files from the AWRS by completing the Application and Deed of Licence for access to the Australian Workplace Relations Study dataset (Deed).
The completed application form and signed Deed of Licence is to be submitted to surveyresearch@fwc.gov.au.
The AWRS Data User Manual, AWRS questionnaires and AWRS Data Dictionaries provide important information about the scope of the study and data items available for analysis. These documents should be used to inform applications for access to the AWRS datasets.
Licences for access to the AWRS confidentiaalised unit record files will be issued on an individual basis for approved research as described in the application form and the Deed.
The Commission will assess completed applications and determine whether to grant a licence and may seek additional information from an applicant to inform its considerations.
The Deed sets out the terms of access and restrictions on use of AWRS data. Applicants are required to consider these terms prior to submission of their application form and signed Deed and raise any queries or concerns with the Commission’s contact officer listed at item 5 of the Schedule prior to submission.
Approved applicants will be provided with a copy of their executed Deed of Licence. Password-protected confidentialised unit record files will then be provided to the licensee via email in Excel, Stata and SPSS file formats.
